A Bizarre, Natural Twist To A Seashore In England

Written By Cheryl Freier

Author of The Grayling Hidden Truth Poems, and three other novels, and two storybooks:  Open Up The Gates In Jerusalem For the Queen Of Sheba, and

The Shepherd Boy And The Sheep Alphabet

The City of Dorset in England is located on the sea at the bottom of the English coastline.  One of the City’s claims to fame is its West Bay Beach where the uniqueness of a towering, sprawling, rough-cut, rust-colored mountain emerged with an explosive debut one day long ago out of the sea onto this Dorset West Bay Beach.  It is a sight to behold and one of nature’s sprawling cliff–twists of fame.

Another of the mountain’s claim to fame to this present day is its living colony of mute swans and their nesting habits. (p.18, National Geographic Traveler, February/March, 2014).  The story is told that in the 1040s, monks of the Benedictine Order raised the swans for banquet dinners.

One is always in awe of people’s ability to use the natural habitat and its animals for food.  During the Nazi invasion of Slovakia, as is written in the book:  The Grayling Hidden Truth Poems, Joseph Freier and his family ate the grayling fish; the fish spawned in abundance in the lakes of the wilderness and mountains in Slovakia.
