In Memoriam to Martin Freier, read Cheryl Freier’s Anna’s Christmas Hidden Truth Poems

Posted by cheryl - November 5th, 2015

Anna’s Christmas Hidden Truth Poems depicts a sense of inner-strength and resilience that Anna Freier had when she climbed out of the bunker that she and her family were hiding in, and she prayed to G-d to save her family from hunger. She was saved. The people in the nearby town and a Priest were bringing food to the people who were hiding in the woods. Powerful story of resilience and brotherhood that actually happened on December of 1944.

Greed Grows Like A Weed Spreading Its Seed

Posted by cheryl - July 19th, 2015

Greed Is The Title of One Of Martin Freier’s Poems
The poem on the concept of greed that Martin Freier wrote reads like this:
“Like a weed, greed spreads its seed.
Its appetite grows without end in sight.
Why this is so nobody knows.
Lodged deep within some men and women,
It is a craving, an urge for more,
Again and again……”

Cheryl’s Column: On This Day In History

Posted by cheryl - May 28th, 2015

On this day in history in the year 1940, the British and the French began their evacuation of the City of Dunkirk. This was during World War II. The history of this evacuation is a memorial to men who triumphed over tragedy in the bloody campaign to fight against the Nazis. There would be other evacuations of cities in this war. The war raged until its fires were finally extinguished by the fighting men who fought under the command of General Patten.
For some more interesting thoughts on the spirit of the fighting American soldiers and the spirit of the partisans who bravely defended many cities in Europe, read Cheryl Freier’s novels on the Holocaust on the website: www.thegraylinghiddentruthpoems.com. Read Cheryl Freier’s fifth novel, Echoes Resounding From The Past Hidden Truth Poems.

Remembering Memorial Day Even After The Day Passed

Posted by cheryl - May 27th, 2015

On this Memorial Day holiday weekend, we pray for the peace of men who died while fighting for our country in past wars. In World War II, many American soldiers died on European soil defending Americans and Europeans against the Nazi scourge and aggressions in Europe. Those few people who hid from the Nazis and survived told stories of horror and hatred that had never been heard of before in modern history.
This Memorial Day weekend corresponds in date, coincidentally, with the Jewish holiday of Shavuot in which there is the renewal of faith as the Jewish people celebrate the growing of new wheat and other crops. On Shavuot there is always a specific traditional memorial service for the remembrance of the dead. On this same weekend, the Christians of the world celebrate Pentecost.
On this Memorial Day weekend, we celebrate the liberation from the Holocaust. Let us always remember that it was because of the American soldiers that fought against the Nazis that we have freedom in our country. It is because of the American soldiers that the remnants of Jewish people has been able to live and to prosper. For a more detailed experience on World War II, read Cheryl Freier’s novels on the Holocaust. Her website is www.thegraylinghiddentruthpoems.com. Her fifth novel, Echoes Resounding From The Past Hidden Truth Poems is being shown on the Good Reads website.

A Reason Why The Nazis Were So Brutal By Cheryl Freier www.thegraylinghiddentruthpoems.com

A Reason Why The Nazis Caused Such Destruction Of Life And Living
Written by Cheryl Freier, author and illustrator
It took me a long time to realize it, but I think that I have more of an insight on why the Nazis did the destructive deeds that they did. They were as the term goes, “All Burned out”. They kept wanting more and more for themselves and pushing themselves to do more and more wanton deeds, because they thought that they would get recognition for themselves. All of the Nazis destroyers of life and living had such a low self-esteem of themselves.
Read Cheryl Freier’s latest book Echoes Resounding From The Past: Hidden Truth Poems and read her four other published books. Read Cheryl Freier’s storybooks, which have a strong Biblical theme. You may find her books listed on www.thegraylinghiddentruthpoems.com.
