Exciting Marketing News on the Book, Echoes Resounding From The Past Hidden Truth Poems
Written by the author, Cheryl Freier
It is with great excitement that I share with you readers that my book, Echoes Resounding From the Past Hidden Truth Poems is now listed on Good Reads website. This book is a book of many stories, which tells of the triumph against innumerable, inestimable odds.
It was during the war in Europe in the year 1943 and even though the Nazis had been bribed to stop their collection and deportation of Jews in Slovakia, there were scattered collections of Jews whom the Nazis felt were part of the resistance in Slovakia and against them. Joseph Freier knew that the Germans would come soon to Slovakia to collect the Jews. He devised a plan whereby he would stay with his wife and his daughter in the house. He arranged to have his four sons sent off to live in the back of a barn on a large farm in a nearby village.
Echoes Resounding is also the story of two people who meet and fall in love by chance. Is their chance meeting really by chance or was it a meeting that was meant to be? Each of these two persons had once lived in Brooklyn, New York. One, Martin Freier had survived the war in Europe. Cheryl, his bride to be, had grown up on a farm in New Jersey. Each had lived for a while in Brooklyn, New York. This is a powerful story that expresses the common denominator of Brooklyn, New York to its essence. Brooklyn, New York was special. And in historical annals, it had never been captured by the British in the history of the United States in the war of independence.
Read Echoes Resounding From The Past Hidden Truth Poems for an enjoyable, enriching experience. It is truly a memorable reading experience.

Why Japan’s Navy Lost Their Naval Superiority

Posted by cheryl - June 11th, 2015

Why the Japanese Navy Lost Their Winning Edge on the Sea in WWII
Information about the Japanese Battleship the Yamato
The Japanese during WWII built their naval ships with pride and glory for their country. The Yamato and the Musashi, the Yamato’s sister ship were commissioned with pride. These two ships were particularly designed to win naval battles against innumerable odds. These ships were armed with superior armaments to withstand naval attacks by the Americans.
Japan’s Balance of Naval Power Wanes in 1944
The Americans regained their naval superiority over the Japanese in 1944. By the year 1945, many of Japan’s ships were sunk and the country did not possess the industrial power to produce new ships. Shortages of fuel also plagued the Japanese Navy. The Japanese Navy was a far cry from the naval superiority they gained after they bombed Pearl Harbor.
The End of the Yamato
Knowing it was futile to win against the American Naval superiority, the Japanese Naval Command dispatched orders for the Yamato to sale to Okinawa. The Yamato had orders to defend the island to its end. That is exactly what happened. The Americans seized the opportunity to send bombers from one of their carriers. The Americans sent torpedo bombers to sink the Yamato. The Americans succeeded. It was an end to the era of the Japanese pride in their naval abilities and achievements during to the war.

Cheryl’s Column, Written By Cheryl Freier, for www.thegraylinghiddentruthpoems.com
On this date in history, there were some displaced persons, refugees that had been captured by the Nazis that were freed. Notably were the refugees in Rees, Germany who were to be repatriated. Also, other displaced persons because of the war leave temporary transfer camps, which were near Hamburg, Germany. These people were very fortunate to survive the war and to go back to Russia.

I Received A Letter From The Duke And Duchess of Cambridge’s Secretary
Written By Cheryl Freier
I received a letter yesterday from the Secretary of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Katherine. I had sent William and Katherine a copy of the storybook, The Morning’s Glory: The Light. I had written and illustrated the storybook. The story had an interesting plot about a young boy named George. George had three friends: the four-winged butterfly, the rabbit, and the gray bird. Together George and his three friends travel through a maze. They meet a wizard and a genie. George solves a mystery by solving a puzzle and thereby releases a spell. As a result, the souls of the one-hundred men and women who have been under a spell in King Solomon’s Castle are freed. George travels home with his three friends to his castle. Read the storybook, The Morning’s Glory: The Light. It is a delightful, exciting book for young children to read. Look at my website for additional storybooks at www.thegraylinghiddentruthpoems.com.

Cheryl’s Column: On This Day In History

Posted by cheryl - May 28th, 2015

On this day in history in the year 1940, the British and the French began their evacuation of the City of Dunkirk. This was during World War II. The history of this evacuation is a memorial to men who triumphed over tragedy in the bloody campaign to fight against the Nazis. There would be other evacuations of cities in this war. The war raged until its fires were finally extinguished by the fighting men who fought under the command of General Patten.
For some more interesting thoughts on the spirit of the fighting American soldiers and the spirit of the partisans who bravely defended many cities in Europe, read Cheryl Freier’s novels on the Holocaust on the website: www.thegraylinghiddentruthpoems.com. Read Cheryl Freier’s fifth novel, Echoes Resounding From The Past Hidden Truth Poems.

Remembering Memorial Day Even After The Day Passed

Posted by cheryl - May 27th, 2015

On this Memorial Day holiday weekend, we pray for the peace of men who died while fighting for our country in past wars. In World War II, many American soldiers died on European soil defending Americans and Europeans against the Nazi scourge and aggressions in Europe. Those few people who hid from the Nazis and survived told stories of horror and hatred that had never been heard of before in modern history.
This Memorial Day weekend corresponds in date, coincidentally, with the Jewish holiday of Shavuot in which there is the renewal of faith as the Jewish people celebrate the growing of new wheat and other crops. On Shavuot there is always a specific traditional memorial service for the remembrance of the dead. On this same weekend, the Christians of the world celebrate Pentecost.
On this Memorial Day weekend, we celebrate the liberation from the Holocaust. Let us always remember that it was because of the American soldiers that fought against the Nazis that we have freedom in our country. It is because of the American soldiers that the remnants of Jewish people has been able to live and to prosper. For a more detailed experience on World War II, read Cheryl Freier’s novels on the Holocaust. Her website is www.thegraylinghiddentruthpoems.com. Her fifth novel, Echoes Resounding From The Past Hidden Truth Poems is being shown on the Good Reads website.
