From chapter XXVIII, from the powerful novel on the Holocaust in Slovakia, Echoes Resounding from the Past, reads the words from page 121, “Walking while being captured (chapter heading). They walked for quite a distance, but the ‘bull’ with his charge and threat that was inside of the driver made them continue. They had reached the outer edge of the city, Micholovce and now they were walking in fields of across and acres of farm land. Occasionally one man or woman would bend down and tear off the corn from the stalk and munch on the sweet taste and munch on a beet until only the succulence of the taste remained.

From the novel on the Holocaust in Slovakia, Echoes Resounding from the Past: Hidden Truth Poems come the words, which were written on page 119, “Older men exhausted from the bleak, darkness of the inside of the van, pounded on the doors of the van. The pounding continued and got worse, until rocking and pushing and the pounding of the van promised without any doubt to turn the van over”.

From the powerful novel on the Holocaust in Nazi Slovakia, Echoes Resounding from the Past, comes a passage that brings one back to the days of the raging war, “There were five other families that were collected from their homes and deposited into the back of the van-sized vehicle. The ominous was apparent to all though no one dare mention the truth of their plight as the doors slammed tight and were and were locked solidly.

Joseph Freier thought as he and his wife and his daughter rode on the van to the transit station in Micholovce, and he prayed “let the rhythm of death not find its door and enter the houses any more”. These were Joseph Freier’s thoughts in the novel on the Holocaust: Echoes Resounding Through the Past Hidden Truth Poems and these are the thoughts that will be included in my next novel on the Holocaust experiences series. For the finest of reading, please purchase my books from any online book store distributor. My website is www.thegraylinghiddentruthpoems.com.
